What the records show

Two small streams that go opposite directions. Textiles bring money in: 12 tons for $1,228.50 in 2023 and 18 tons for $1,820 in 2024. Tires cost money. The $1,969.80 next to tires on the 2023 sheet is fees the center collects from residents at drop-off, and the 2024 report lists tires as a $2,771 expenditure for 12 tons. An earlier version of this page called tires the best per-ton price on the sheet. That was wrong.

Where each goes after the buyer isn't published. Textiles are typically graded for reuse or turned into fiber; tires are typically shredded or ground. Those last steps are industry background, not Peterborough records.
